The Craft

Every Zaneti Co piece begins at the bench on the Mornington Peninsula. Sterling silver and solid gold worked by hand, shaped through pressure, heat and time. Gemstones and freshwater pearls chosen individually. Each piece formed start to finish by one pair of hands.

Nothing is repeated. Nothing is rushed. The work takes as long as it takes.

Mass-produced jewellery is cast from a single mould, hundreds or thousands of identical pieces stamped out on a factory line and finished by machine. Slow-crafted is the opposite. One piece, shaped by hand from raw sterling silver or gold, worked and finished from start to end by the same person, with no two ever quite alike.

Slow-crafted jewellery is a different thing to buy and a different thing to wear. You feel the weight of it. You notice the texture. You wear it differently because you know it was made once, by hand, for no one in particular and somehow entirely for you.

That is what Zaneti Co makes. Symbolic adornment. Handmade on the Mornington Peninsula in sterling silver and solid gold.
